Hey friends!
We are only 3 days away from flying out to Africa! That’s insane! So, what has happened since I left Maryville almost 2 weeks ago? We’ve been in training camp! It’s been such a journey! Meeting and getting to know the amazing squad that I’ll be doing ministry with for the next few months, sleeping on the floor, and learning so much during sessions have all been such great experiences. There are four squads here at training camp, so I’ve gotten the opportunity to meet other lovely people that will be going to other parts of the world, and it’s been super encouraging.
You might ask, “what happens at training camp?”. Well, I’ll tell you, to the best of my ability! The training camp is two weeks. In the first week, we had terrific teachings about the truth, what’s the gospel, unity, the heart of the father, the process of knowing Jesus, ministry, the Holy Spirit, Intimacy with God, femininity, and the Sabbath. We got to dive deep into the word, and honestly, even if it was at times exhausting to sit through so many sessions, the Lord still revealed himself in new and refreshing ways. We are almost done with week two, and so far, this week has been all about cultural diversity, health, and safety measures, sharing the gospel, and the use of apologetics to share the gospel. I want to make a pause here because I feel like this was probably one of the most motivating/let’s go fired-up teachings I’ve ever heard, in the sense that it was all about practical ways that you can share the gospel! After that, we had the amazing opportunity to go out and ask the Holy Spirit to highlight people to talk to, encourage and pray for. And fo course, He came through! It was a beautiful sight to see. Hope, love, and miracles happened in just a few hours in a little shopping strip in the middle of Gainesville, GA. All because of God’s love for his people! Let’s go God!
We are so excited to see what God has in store for us, as we grow closer in our relationship with him and grow closer as a squad! Please keep us in your prayers as our last days at the camp come to an end, and as we head out to share the Good News!
Talk to you soon,
Love you all. ♥️
